Default backdrops for titles are not automatically imported from TMDB — our team adds these after assessing the set of available images for quality and aesthetic suitability. Most major titles have backdrops added by the time of release, but the majority of films on the platform do not have one. Patron subscribers can select a preferred backdrop (and poster) for any title, whether there is a default present or not.
To request a backdrop for a film that doesn’t yet have one, submit a Backdrop Request via the Report flag for the title (select “Image request” as the report type). Prior to submitting a request, ensure that at least one suitable image exists for the title on TMDB. A qualifying image must be at least 1920×1080 pixels, with sharp detail (and free from compression artifacts), no black bars or text, no nudity and no key plot spoilers.
When submitting images to TMDB yourself, refer to its Contribution Bible for additional requirements. If requesting a backdrop for your own film, make sure to submit a Backdrop Request only when your material is finalised.
