Under normal circumstances, most changes made at TMDB import to Letterboxd within 30 hours, however there are some exceptions:
- When titles reach a certain level of popularity on our platform, we slow the cadence of (or halt) our updates. If you note important changes to a popular film or cast/crew member on TMDB that are not reflected on Letterboxd after more than 30 hours, submit a Fix Request via the Report flag for the title, explaining the specifics of the missing content.
- The specific order of cast members and additions/removals to TMDB collections (what we call Related Films) are not notified to us by TMDB’s API, so updates to these may lag. If you have updated the cast order or made changes to collections, and nothing else for the title has changed, submit a Fix Request via the Report flag for the title(s), ensuring that 30 hours has passed since the change was made.
Note that text content (synopses, taglines, names, biographies) are imported from the English translations of relevant fields, and that default backdrops are not automatically imported.
